How to export your Gemini history
- Open Google Takeout and choose Deselect all, then tick My Activity.
- Under My Activity choose All activity data included, then Deselect all and tick only Gemini Apps.
- Choose Multiple formats and set My Activity to JSON. The default HTML format cannot be imported.
- Create the export. Google emails a download link, usually within minutes to a few hours.
- Open AI Wrapped and drop the Takeout ZIP exactly as downloaded.

Gemini Wrapped FAQ
Why does my Gemini export look incomplete?
Gemini Apps Activity must have been turned on for chats to be saved. Activity exports can also include prompts without full replies, so some stats are approximate.
Why JSON and not HTML?
Takeout’s default HTML is made for reading, not for importing. JSON keeps the structure AI Wrapped needs.
Is my Gemini activity uploaded?
No. Your Wrapped is built in your browser. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose an optional cloud feature.
Do you need my Google password?
Never. You download your own Takeout archive and drop the file in.
Can I add ChatGPT or Claude too?
Yes. Drop several exports together for one combined Wrapped.
